our history
EdenHill Communities remains a testament to its legacy and has been providing comprehensive care and services in a welcoming environment since 1906. Established by Mr. and Mrs. Martin Schmidt, EdenHill Communities has been a beacon of care for over a century. Originally named the “Old Folks and Pastor’s Home” in San Antonio, it began with 20 residents on South Presa Street. Over the years, it evolved into a multifaceted campus in New Braunfels, incorporating healthcare, rehabilitation, apartments, and cottages.
Commitment to evolving services continued with the 2015 addition of a state-of-the-art health care center, offering rehabilitation services, long-term nursing care, assisted living, and memory care. EdenHill Communities remains a vibrant, evolving community, continually adjusting to the needs of our aging population.
