Supporting Caregivers: EdenHill’s 3rd Annual Caregiver Seminar

physically and emotionally demanding. That’s why EdenHill Communities, in partnership with Hope

Hospice, is proud to present the 3rd Annual Caregiver Seminar—a free, practical workshop designed to

Why a Caregiver Workshop?

EdenHill Communities and Hope Hospice have a shared mission of providing compassionate care in the

New Braunfels community. With over 115 years of service from EdenHill and 40 years from Hope

Hospice, this collaboration is a way to give back to those who work tirelessly to care for others.

The workshop aims to educate and support those caring for individuals with life-limiting illnesses (such

as cancer, Parkinson’s, and MS), chronic conditions, and disabilities. EdenHill and Hope Hospice offer

this free seminar to provide caregivers with the tools, knowledge, and encouragement they need to

continue their vital work.

Who Should Attend?

This event is designed for anyone involved in caregiving, whether full-time or part-time. Attendees may

include:

✔️ Family caregivers—spouses, children, or extended family members providing care.

✔️ Professional caregivers—working for licensed agencies (note: CEUs will not be offered).

✔️ Those supporting a loved one—even those who occasionally assist with caregiving duties.

What to Expect

This is not just another lecture-style seminar—it’s a hands-on, interactive event led by Dr. Neela Patel, a

geriatrician with the University of Texas Health Science Center’s Biggs Institute. Dr. Patel not only has

extensive clinical experience but also brings personal insights as a caregiver for her mother.

Attendees can expect:

✅ Practical self-care guidelines for caregivers.

✅ Table discussions & group activities to foster connections.

✅ Resources & demonstrations on safe lifting, transfers, and adaptive devices from EdenHill’s therapy

team.

✅ Expert guidance from agencies specializing in home health, insurance planning, mental health,

Alzheimer’s care, legal matters, and more.

A Personal Touch from Our Title Sponsor

This year’s seminar is proudly sponsored by Cludius Law. Fred Cludius’ personal experience led him to

transition from personal injury law to estate planning. His experience of losing loved ones helped him

realize how critical it is for Caregivers to have Estate plans as well as end-of-life directives in place.
